The Quilters Alphabet – Quintessential Quilt

How could we make a Quilters Alphabet quilt without a “Quilt” block!?!

So here it is…

Sort of a quilt within a quilt.Note that the border is fully contained within the block so you will see background all around the edge when the block is complete.  Of course you make this with the Bridges Method so it is quicker and easier than it looks… And it’s a cute but fitting addition to this array of blocks!

BTW, our doll quilts series will continue through the summer (The August Doll Quilt is due to be posted on Saturday August 25) and there are lots of other great free quilt patterns here on the site… Like our swap/scrap quilt patterns and, of course, our Quilter’s Alphabet quilt block of the week which will both be continuing all year long.

And coming soon will be our 2012 Fall Quilts which will be the glorious and historic Burgoyne Surrounded (Supply List now available) and the beautiful Iris Quilt. Oh and just posted: The 2012 Sunset and Vine Mystery Quilt Supply List. Clues begin July 3. so keep your eye on LynBrown.com in the coming months. As always, there is more to see at our Etsy Shop, Quilts, Totes, Kits! There must be something for everyone in that mix!

Here is the Quintessential Quilt block PDF…
