Nautical Tumble Block 14- Sails

Let’s Set Sail!  These equilateral triangles look like sails to me.  A whole regatta of boats, racing to the finish line…

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won
As we sailed into the mystic

Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly
Into the mystic

Van Morrison

NT Sails Blue

This example has alternating Medium and Dark values.  If you fiddle with the values, there are plenty of other patterns with your triangles.  Don’t forget:  Two of the edges of these triangles are bias and will stretch.  Starch your fabric before cut to minimize.

The Pattern PDF is linked below complete with a 60 degree triangle template.
