Nautical Tumble Block 13 – Compass Rose

The Mariner’s Compass block is a spectacular traditional quilt block that is usually pieced. This Compass Rose block is unique because it is created with Applique instead of piecing.

In addition, I’ve employed The Bridges technique (Bridges method), leaving tiny bridges of the fabric’s thread between the pieces when cut, making placement easier. Give it a try! The pattern PDF is linked below.
