Jane Adams

In 1975 Jane Adams favorite pastime was golf. That same year she took a quilting class and became an addicted traditional quilter unable to leave her sewing machine. In 1981 Jane, close friend Janice Blackwood and her daughter Cari, joined forces to open the Calico House Quilt Shop in Yorba Linda. At that time it was located in a 1912 two story Craftsman style house. For 15 years it served as a gathering place for quilters in the North Orange County area. A remark at dinner with quilters Karen Woodard and Tommye Keenan in 1996 led to the formation of North Cities Quilt Guild that September.

Lots of years later here we are….
North Cities is still an active quilt guild with much to thank Jane Adams for!
After almost 25 years as shop owners Jane & Janice sold their shop to retire.
How does Jane retire? She teaches classes at The Calico House, now owned by Cindy Zechter and located at 1243 E. Imperial Highway, Placentia, Ca.
Be sure to attend the NCQG Show this Friday and Saturday!
