The Quilter’s Alphabet – Mystical Mariners Compass

It is official! With this block we are halfway through our Quilters Alphabet. And this is a block made for celebratation! A Mariners Compass-done the easy way- FUSED!

Choose some wonderful contrasting fabrics and have at it.  My suggestion is to cut the Blue, Red and Yellow each as one piece, like when we did the Bridges quilt.  Each color is its own star!  Be sure to trim away the interior fusible before applying to the fabric to reduce bulk.  This may be the easiest compass block ever.

As you probably know, our doll quilts series  will continue through the summer and there are lots of other great free quilt patterns here on the site…  Like our swap/scrap quilt patterns and, of course, our Quilter’s Alphabet quilt block of the week  which will both be continuing all summer long.

And coming soon will be our 2012 Fall Quilts which will be the glorious and historic Burgoyne Surrounded (Supply List now available) and the beautiful Iris Quilt.  A while back I  posted the 2012 Sunset and Vine Mystery Quilt Supply List.  Remember:  Clues begin next Tuesday,  July 3. so keep your eye on LynBrown.com in the coming weeks.  As always, there is more to see at our Etsy Shop… Quilts, Totes, Kits!  There must be something for everyone in that mix!

Here is the Mystical Mariners Compass Pattern PDF…
