We are finishing up the Spooky October Block this week. I had a hard time with this design, but it has turned out to be one of my favorite blocks of the whole quilt. Glad it didn’t frighten you off!
Fall is upon us. Here in SoCal that means both days of dry high winds and days of Autumn rain. We’ve had both this week. Sew… We are ready for Halloween to arrive.
Sorry for the delay on this post. It was unavoidably detained but the pattern is now ready and I am thrilled to present…
September 2013 is blowing away before our eyes… Just like the autumn leaves are blowing off the trees…
Woohoo! Class is back in session and September is nearly half gone! Are you enjoying this unstructured Scattered Leaves block?
September! Back to School! And we are… Starting September 9, 2013, my free quilting classes start up again and it is gonna be great!
Our September block, as you can see, deviates a bit from the rest of the blocks in this quilt. All our previous blocks have had a lattice or a wreath or, well, at least some sort of shape upon which the design was built. There is no structural support on this block.
August… Long, lazy (or hectic) days… Heat… Thunderstorms… More heat… August is an intense month and this is an intense block!
Sunflowers dance and play in the sun, forming towers of beauty and delight! That is what I am trying to portray with these blocks!
