Quilters Alphabet G: Grandma’s Glorious Garden

Grandma’s Flower Garden is the quintescient quilt pattern. So beautiful with all those neat little hexagons and so difficult with all those neat little hexagons!  But how could I not include Grandma’s Glorious  Garden as our G
block?  This is surely a historic block and will undoubted enjoy continued popularity.

These alphabet blocks have been offered as fused blocks and the Grandma’s Garden block is most often done by hand, usually done with  English Paper piecing. So I am presenting both the pattern for a single Hexagon pattern (right in the center!)  as well as the fused pattern (Note the three  values… Each will be a separate piece/color- the center, the flower color, the green.)  Just FYI… The fused method is much easier.

Here is a great tutorial on English Paper Piecing (EPP):

And a Wonderful EPP video from Connecting Threads:

Make A Great Quilt!
