Quilter’s Alphabet 20 – Jumping Jelly Roll

Here is the next installment in our Quilter’s Alphabet Series… The Jumping Jelly Roll!  Much easier than it looks, the block represents that wonderful moment when you slip the ribbon from your “Jelly Roll*” of fabric to show all the wonderful prints revealed within…

There’s a lot of movement as this block spins!  But in reality, the roll is represented by just 4 interlocking J shapes!  Add the little tag inked (with your Micron Pigma Marker) with the words Jelly Roll (Don’t forget to ink the string too!) and you are done!  This is a fun addition to our Quilter’s Alphabet Quilt Block of the Week!

If you need any previous Quilter’s Alphabet patterns, check the archives.  And browse around the whole site for lots of other free patterns.  We are also working on the Spring Medallion, a series of Doll Quilts and lots of swap patterns!

Here is the QA Jelly Roll PDF:

QA Jelly roll 20

*A Jelly Roll is a pre-cut  collection of 40 total  2 1/2″ strips cut from the width of the fabric (Selvedge to Selvedge) though sometimes there are fewer strips and sometimes more.  Check the tag! On occasion the strips are all different and sometimes there are repeats.

Don’t forget… There will be another block posted next week!

Thanks for Stopping By.

Make A Great Quilt!
