Patchwork Puppy Dog Pattern Now Available On Craftsy

OMG! I have ALWAYS wanted to make one of these patchwork dogs. And the arrival of our grandson made it happen.

My SIL has this vintage toy (the smaller, redder one) and, when I saw it, I knew I had to make one for Elliott. This dog is a bit more of a mutt than a Scotty (which these patchwork dogs often try to look like) but that made me love it all the more.  And My SIL graciously allowed me to pattern her hound.  Thanks, Thelma!
Now I must admit I was a bit worried about getting that red strip to go on properly, but a little slow stitching and another trick (in the pattern) made it come out just right!
I made my puppy with pairs of juvenile fabric squares. I made two piles to get one of each fabric on each side. That way, it becomes a game to find the fabric on both sides.  Elliott is a little young for that yet but I’m patient.

I made the Patchwork Puppy Dog Pattern for both the large (12″ X 16″) and small (9″ X 12″)  sizes.  The pattern is on sale right now for 99 cents and will return to its full price of $2.99 soon. If you are a grandma to a young child, you need this pattern!
Head over to Craftsy and get your Patchwork Puppy Dog Pattern now!
