Quilters Alphabet 44: Viney Vase of Violets

This is a pretty little block with lots of the traditional elements of Applique… Vines, Vases and Violets! I can’t believe I had such trouble coming up with this block. Once it came together, I fell in love and could not picture a more fitting quilter’s depiction of the letter V.

Pieced With Love Quilt Shop in Murrieta, CA

Happy Halloween! I visited another quilt shop, quite by accident, while down Temecula way last week. It is called Pieced with Love in Murrieta near the intersection of the 15/215. Pieced with Love is a beautiful shop with a great variety of fabrics offered.

It’s Time For The 2012 Iris Swap!

We’ve all been waiting to see the Irises bloom in the fall… At least in our Class Iris Block Swap!  This traditional block is truly beautiful… And to see all the colors that other quilter’s choose is just too much fun!  And they go together into such a beautiful quilt!

Mountain Quilters Cottage, Sky Forest, California

When I was at my Friendship Group’s Quilting Retreat in the local mountains a few weeks ago, we managed to fit in some time shopping at the local quilt shop, Mountain Quilter’s Cottage.  This shop always pleases and excites. Charmingly rustic with delightful displays, Mountain Quilters Cottage is a joy to visit.

Forty-Eight Carats Swap Quilt

It is time for another swap in my NOCCCD Classes in Cypress, Fullerton, Buena Park, Anaheim and Yorba Linda, CA.  This time we are swapping Red Orange and Yellow Orange 8″ squares.  And we are making this very cute 48 Carats quilt.
