Nostalgic 9 In 9 Quilt Pattern Week One

This week, start a new journey with me as we make the Nostalgic 9 In 9 quilt. This very traditional quilt has a modern look with white background and multi hued solid patches…

But you can make it however you like… Reproduction or contemporary … Scrappy or just two fabric!
And we are going to move slow. This week, we have the instructions to make our first set of 9-Patches.
They finish at just 3″ (3 1/2″ raw) but don’t fret. Use an accurate 1/4″ seam and press you seam to the dark and you’ll do fine. And, did I mention? They are all strip pieced! Easy! You can do this!
Let’s get started:

On a personal note, I again want to thank all of you for your kind comments regarding my Sabbatical announcement.  I was nervous about the reaction my decision would get and you guys were so sweet and supportive.  I truly appreciate it!  Thanks! So Just a reminder for anyone who didn’t see my previous post… I am taking the Fall of 2014 off from teaching for the NOCCCD – SCE – OAP to spend time with my new grandson!  I am so looking forward to this!
