Fanciful Floral Foursquare Week One

Our 2013 Block of the Week starts now!
We will be doing 48 blocks this year. 12 sets of 4 blocks really. Each set of four blocks will come together into a great block. Each great block will depict a different floral wreath and the flowers will be related to the calendar month.
Our first set of four blocks will be fanciful Snowflowers on a circular wreath. Above is my first draft. It’s okay but pretty boring. Now I’m thinking about using some wild fabrics… making Wild Flowers! Tune in next week to see what happens! The second set of four blocks will be Heartflowers on a square wreath.
This week, the first Snowflower block (of four different Snowflower blocks,) which will be one quarter of the January great block, is presented. The PDF of the pattern is available below at the end of this post. Future blocks (3 other Snowflowers and 44 more!) will be presented each Thursday by Noon PST.
