Do You See Christmas Block Of The Week 27 The Mighty King

I’ve had some inquiries about when we were gonna have more pieced blocks presented… So I thought we would do two back to back.

**** Ooops! Note: I have a corrected version of last week’s block…

Do You See Block 26 Dancing

(Note:  Corrected 7-9-14 Second Red 5 1/4″ Square should be 2 1/2″ for center.) **** My Apologies!

Back to this week’s block….

This is a kind of challenging block so take it a step at a time.  It is loosely based on the tiles found at the Lima Beach Club in Lima, Peru.  Many thanks to Ethan and Cristina for thinking to send a pic of these tiles that resemble a quilt pattern!

I fiddled with it a bit to get the measurements to come out… It’s the first time in history where twisting part of a block on point made for BETTER math!  It is a fun design tho and I may revisit it later when I can make the math easy by starting with a 10″ Block!

Here are the instructions for the 8″ twisted version….
