From the richest satins to the humblest calicoes, quilts are truly an American craft. Enjoy a lovely afternoon at the Arboretum as l present a trunk show and discussion of Victorian Era Quilts, their origins and how those quilts influence today’s quilt makers. In addition, I invite you to play “Stump The Quilter” by bringing in your family quilts for me to identify the pattern and place in historical context. As an instructor for the North Orange County Community College District and a published quilt designer, my love and knowledge of the quilting craft is evidenced in my weekly classes, my collection of both vintage and new quilts and on my blog, www.LynBrown.com.
