We have been taking it slow but at last we are ready to put together the Burgoyne block….
Are you keeping up? We took last week off so hopefully you were able to catch up. This time around we are making the side units in the block.
I just spent the better part of an hour looking for a link to this fabulous sheet about Jane McCrea and her part in the American Revolution. I could not find it so I am posting it below.
So we are off and running on this fabulous quilt project! This will be a true heirloom… You may need to make more than one! (I have made three!)
After a whole summer of teasers and promises, here, at last, is the first week of our Burgoyne Surrounded Quilt. This is quite a historic quilt and offers quite a bit of piecing practice. The Quilt is not hard… but there is a lot of it!
Can you believe Summer is nearly over? It’s been wonderful but it will be wonderful to get back to class and see everyone again!
This beautiful and graphic design is a true classic. Broken into easy sections, the piecing is pretty simple. True, the pieces are small and there are many, but your perseverance will be rewarded with this lovely and historic Burgoyne Surrounded quilt.
