A Visit To Cactus Sewables In Yucca Valley

I had a fabulous time out in Yucca Valley this week at the Cactus Sewables Quilt Guild. Such a friendly and enthusiastic group!

Yucca Valley is just beautiful this time of year. Clear and cool with such a gorgeous blue sky. And Cactus Sewables is a wonderfully active guild stitching for many local charities and it sounds like they had a blast at their very own Halloween party last week! What fun!

And they treat their teachers so well. They welcomed me and suddenly we were are very good friends!  What a treat! Many thanks to Stella, Cathy, Betty and all the rest for such a delightful day! I hope to visit this guild again!
My subject was Pre-Cut Paradise, speaking about all the marvelous patterns that can be made from pre-cuts:  Fat Quarters, Jelly Rolls, Charm Squares and Layer Cakes.  There are so many variations!  Some of their favorite quilt patterns were my Boca Blessings

and Solar Power Jelly Roll Lone Star! I’m posting these Craftsy links to those who missed out.
