A Note To My NOCCCD Students:

We have at last received the news we were waiting for.  Now just over three months after his dramatic entrance, our grandson Elliott, has been given a clean bill of health. We are all so thankful and relieved!

These last few months have been wonderful though… Spending lots of time with Ellie and seeing his progress. I realize I love being a grandma to him.
And so, I have reached the difficult decision to not return to teaching. I love all my classes, but feel I now have a more important job to do.
I will continue designing quilts for my site and for publication.  Of course, I’ll continue selling patterns on Craftsy. And I have a full schedule of quilt guild speaking engagements lined up in 2015.
I know you will all understand this decision. I’ve loved teaching quilting in Orange County for more than fifteen years, and now I look forward to sewing lots more baby quilts and little boy clothes in addition to my quilting. The College District has found some great ladies to substitute this semester and I hope they will continue teaching. The teacher will change but the class will be just a wonderful as it has always been.
Thank you for your support now and through all our years together.  I’m hoping you will all keep in touch and send pics of your finished projects.
I wish you all happy quilting!

Lyn
