2012 Swap Quilts

This year in my classes, we are doing a swap a month and a free quilt pattern will be offered here for each swap. In January, we swapped Blues for the Blue Brick Quilt. February was Reds and the Scattered Hearts Quilt (above).

Most importantly, each pattern can be used with any swap or any set of scraps (46 each 8″ squares) from your stash or even with a Layer Cake from the quilt shop (40 ea. 10″ squares plus a little.) In addition, we are saving a few squares from each swap to use in our Rainbow Triangle Quilt.

2012 Rainbow Swaps

The theory is… we will make some triangles every month so at the end of the year, we will have enough done to make the quilt above. If you don’t live in the area, raid your stash or arrange color swaps with your guild, friendship group or class. The instructional PDF is linked below.
